"If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will—to your surprise—miss them profoundly."
-Pres. Thomas S. Monson

Things Are Changing

I just moved my baby into the basement to make room for my new baby.

I don't like it.  Not one bit.

Annie is much older than Will was when we moved him downstairs, but for some reason she seems so much smaller.  I know I baby her- WE baby her (Dallas is guilty of this, too).  We can't help it!  She's so super sweet and sensitive; she is just so much different than Will was at this age.

The kids are excited.  Tonight they told knock-knock jokes to each other until we told them it was time to close their eyes.  They feel like they just get to have a sleepover every night.

We'll see how it goes.  I have a feeling that I'm going to be up in the middle of the night checking on her down there.

My baby is really growing up.

  1. How adorable are their beds and bedding! So cute!

Your kids are so beautiful, and so photogenic! I just can't get over their sweet faces!

I would have a hard time putting my kids in the basement too! I love having them close (most of the time, sometimes I want to send them to sleep in their fort in the woods out back).

  2. Ahhh! This makes her seem SOO grown up. I think it's so cute that they are excited to share a room...and I love that their bed frames are the same. Miss those faces!

  3. Oh the Changes that 2013 is Bringing! I haven't even thought of how to rearrange Kenny's Room to fit the Crib and Changing Table. BLEH!! Let's Hope Kenny is a Heavy Sleeper come July....His room doesn't even have a door let alone.....sharing a room with the Baby! Good Times!

    Love you

  4. If I can be half the mom you are I will think I'm doing a pretty good job. You're amazing.

  5. You have seriously adorable children.

  6. I hated putting my kids in the basement too. So sad. But you have done a wonderful job making sure that their beds are perfect for them and it looks like there is plenty of room for 2 children.
And I understand about having a sleepover every night. Alyssa would sleep on the floor in the boys' room because she felt like she was missing out on their nightly parties.
